Weekly Book Report!!!!!!!!

Reading is so time consuming! I'm really glad that I got back into it tho. I am a little upset that school is starting. Cuz I know that I'm not going to be able to have time to just read a book a week.

Anyway, This is the book that I have been reading this past week! Oh. I also read this other book that one of my friends from work wrote! I can't remember if I told you that or not.
So far i'm enjoying the book. Honestly it's kinda depressing. But it is still a whole new perspective! Anyway. Until next time!

Peace & Blessings!

I love Barney from 'How I met Your mother'. :)

Hahahahaha! Barney is the best. I found this quote on my sisters blog and it made me bust a gut! I totally remember this in the show too!!! Hahahaha. I hope you found joy in this. Because I sure did!!!!!!!!!

Heidee's {Semi} weekly Book Report.. :)

So. I can't remember what day it was that I started doing this whole book report thing... But! I'm doing it again now. :) Hahaha. So as you know, I was reading The Diary of Anne Frank. I finished it. I have to say that it wasn't my favorite book. But I did enjoy it! It made me realize a lot of things, and it almost made me sad. Because every once in a while you would realize... woah. this is real. Crazy, huh?
Well, Now I am Reading Have a Little Faith by Mitch Albom.
All I have to say is... WOW!!!!! It is INCREDIBLY good! I can't even begin to tell you how awesome it is! :) I was reading it yesterday and there is a part where the Rabbi is talking about a Doctor that he knew that was athiest, and the doctors brother had died. And when the Rabbi went to go visit him, the doctor said that he envied him. Because when bad things happened he could blame God. But because he didn't believe in any such thing, the only person that he could blame was himself. Mitch asked him which he thought was worse. And the Rabbi said "It is far more comforting to think God listened and said no, than to think that nobody's out there."
:) amazing huh! :) I CANNOT wait to finish this book! I can tell it is just going to end amazingly!
TTFN Ta ta for Now!
Peace & Blessings! :)

BIG PLANS!!!! :)

So yesterday I was at Barnes and Noble, and guess what I found?
The Most AMAZING Diary I have ever seen in my life!!! Wouldn't you have to agree???? Oh man! I am such a nerd. But I have BIG plans for this diary!
I am going to start out every entry by saying
"I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."
and end every entry by saying
"Mischief Managed"
HAHAHAHAHA! :) oh man! I have no idea why this makes me so happy! All I know is that it does! :)
I guess that I can tell you a few other things I bought too, huh?
Well, I'm kinda really getting into reading all of the sudden, which is kind of a bummer, because there is no way that I'm going to have time for it once school starts. But I guess I still have like four weeks before I need to worry about that. But, anyway. I bought three books from Barnes and Noble yesterday.
Book Number 1:
I have heard so many good things about this book. I'm super excited to read it!
Book Number 2:
Dracula. AH! This is my brothers like second favorite book of all time! And I hear that it's even better than Frankenstein. So... I'm super stoked to read it! :)
Book Number 3:
Siddhartha. This is my brothers FAVORITE book. Both him and my sister have read it. They say that it is really good and that it makes you think. I'm excited to get my own opinion on it.
:)
That's it for now folks.
TTFN! Ta Ta For Now!
Peace & Blessings! :)

I ALWAYS KNEW I LOVED HERMIONE!

So... I was on facebook! and guess what I found? The most amazing quote. I always knew I loved Emma Watson! SO MUCH RESPECT FOR HER!

"I find the whole concept of being ‘sexy’ embarrassing and confusing. If I do an interview with photographs people desperately want to change me – dye my hair blonder, pluck my eyebrows, give me a fringe. Then there’s the choice of clothes. I know everyone wants a picture of me in a mini-skirt. But that’s not me. I feel uncomfortable. I’d never go out in a mini-skirt. It’s nothing to do with protecting the Hermione image. I wouldn’t do that. Personally, I don’t actually think it’s even that sexy. What’s sexy about saying, ‘I’m here with my boobs out and a short skirt, have a look at everything I’ve got?’ My idea of sexy is that less is more. The less you reveal the more people can wonder."

She is my hero! I am going to love her forever now! :) :)

Until Next time!
Peace & Blessings! :)

{Change}

Oh man how I need to listen to this quote right now. :) You know what I've decided. I'm going to really trust in my Heavenly Father. And I'm NOT going to let him down. There are some things that I need to change. I need to be happy, no matter what. I have a tendency to let things bother me. Or to get in a slump over stuff that doesn't really matter. But. I'm not going to let him down. Every time I think about complaining about things that I don't have, I'll get up and start figuring out how to fix it. :)

And I'll fix it because of this quote. Change can be powerful. But, it also can be very weak. depending on how I want to look at it! :)
I'm going to start looking for new friends. And follow advice from a little bird that says that I should focus on education from the church as well. :)

This was probably totally random. But, well. Here ya go! :)
Bye, Bye Folks!
Peace & Blessings! :) <3

18 July 2011

Praise the Lord, All Is Well. :)

Soooooo Sunday was the Pioneer Days Devotional. And can I just say that it was INCREDIBLE! :) Ah! An experience to be remembered for SURE :)
Why was in incredible, you may ask, Well. I will tell you. :)
So, because I was singing. I wasn't able to go to my singles ward. :) I was super excited about this because I had to get someone to teach relief society for me. :) And the lessons was on Eternal Marriage. :) WOOO!!! I dodged that bullet! hahaha. WOO! So I went to my parents ward with them. It was actually a really good Sunday. It made me miss my home ward... a lot. But... well.. that's a story in and of itself. :) Which.... I'm sure will be covered later on in my blog. :) So after church, I had time to take a nap, which was much needed. :) Then I went off to meet the Chorale at the Dee Events Center. After lining up and such, we were seated up in the stands. Then we began practicing. Singing in places like that totally suck.
1. Because they are huge, so it takes forever for the sound to echo!
2. Because they aren't made for the sound to echo! hahaha. It's made to have lots of noise.
3: hearing yourself is impossible!
So after we had sung all of the songs in practice,
{p.s. this is where all of the good stuff begins to happen}
Brother Saunders {Who is in charge/the director} asked us which song we as a choir thought was our strongest piece? A couple of people spoke up. And the funny thing was that they all said something different. I think that we all kinda had a look on our face that none of them were our best. That we didn't really think we did good at any of them. I think that someone must have admitted to that. Because then Brother Saunders began to say that we needed to give ourselves more credit! Because we deserved way more than we were accepting. And then he said this,
"You are Sons and Daughters of God, that alone must mean you're pretty amazing."
Wow. That hit me. Hard.
Most of us look at our accomplishments to decide what we think of ourselves. But I think that we all would think a little differently of ourselves, if we would just try to see us as our Heavenly Father would. :) man. What a great lesson to have there, and the devotional hadn't even started!!!! Wow.
Okay, so after a little more practice people started to come in, so everyone was allowed to leave and go to the bathroom and such. :) Ah! Then when everyone was back, Jeffery R. Holland came. I think that my favorite part of basically every fireside that I've gone to live, is how reverent we are when someone of that authority comes in. We all have such respect for them. :) AH! okay. So as a prelude song, we sand Faith in Every Footstep. I don't know if you've ever heard it. but here are the lyrics.
Faith In Every Footstep
A marvelous work has begun to come for among all the children of men. O ye that embark in the service of God, give heart, mind, and strength unto him, For prophets have spoken and angels have come to life the world from sin, That Christ may reign over all the earth and bless is gathered kin. With Faith in every footstep, we follow Christ, the Lord, And filled with hope through his pure love, we sing with one accord.
Those marvelous Saints who embraced this great work and shared it in lands far and near, Who gave all their heart, mind, and strength to the Lord with wisdom and vision so clear, Now stand as examples of virtue and faith, of souls prepared to hear, Of knowledge sure, born of humble heart, and love that banished fear. With faith in every footstep, we follow Christ, the Lord, and filled with hope through his pure love, we sing with one accord.
If we now desire to assist in this work and thrust in our sickle with might, if we will embark in the service of God and harvest in fields that are white, Our souls may receive the salvation of God-the fullness of his light, that we may stand, free of sing and blame, God's glory in our sight. With faith in every footstep, we follow Christ, the Lord, and filled with hope through his pure love, we sing with one accord. :)
Awesome lyrics, huh?
So then they introduced all of these people that were at the devotional. There were presidency members from the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, plus all of the rodeo queens in bedazzled outfits. :) Then they introduced Elder Holland before we sang two songs back to back. :)
The first was
All Things Bright and Beautiful
All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful, The Lord God made them all. Each little flow'r that opens, Each little bird that sings, He made their glowing colors He made their tiny wings: The Purple Headed mountain, the river running by, The sunset and the morning that brighten up the sky: The cold wind in the winter, the Pleasant summer sun, The ripe fruits in the Garden, He Made them every one: The tall trees in the green-wood, The meadows where we play, The rushes by the water We gather ev'ry day:All Things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise as wonderful, The Lord God made them all. :) I love this one. it got stuck in my head. ALL THE TIME!
The second was
Our Saviors Love
Our Saviors love Shines like the sun with perfect light, As from above It breaks thru clouds of strife. Lighting our way, It leads us back into his sight, Where we may stay To share eternal life.
The Spirit voice Of goodness, whispers to our hearts A better choice Than evil's anguished cries. Loud may the sound Of hope ring till all doubt departs, And we are bound To him by loving ties.
Our Father, God Of all creation, hear us pray In rev'rence, awed By thy Son's sacrifice. Praises we sing. We love thy law; we will obey. Our heav'nly King, In thee our hearts rejoice. :) I honestly Love this song! I have for a really long time!
Then Elder Holland spoke. I feel bad admitting this, but it was hard to pay attention. Brother Saunders was right. There are about 4,000 distractions at any given time at a place like this. And it was hard to hear. But was I did hear from what he prepared was amazing! :) this is one quote that i LOVED!
"With the complex issues facing our families and our friends, our citizens, our state, our neighbors, our nation, the world may we remember pioneers of an earlier day who persevered against injustice, misunderstanding, some intolerance, occasional bigotry, occasional racism, against differences of custom and traditions and faith, who labored against all of that to carve out for us, their descendants, the wonderful day and marvelous miraculous time in which we live. We owe the same pioneering, persevering legacy to our children and our children's children."
I honestly agree. I owe my children something to look up to. Just like I do the pioneers!
Then We ended off by singing
Come, Come Ye Saints
Come, come ye Saints, no toil nor labor fear; But with joy wend your way. Though hard to you this journey may appear, Grace shall be as your day. Tis better far for us to strive Our useless cares from us to drive; Do this, and joy your hearts will swell-All is well! All is well!
Why should we mourn or think our lot is hard? 'Tis not so; all is right. Why should we think to earn a great reward If we now shun the fight? Girl up your loins; fresh courage take. Our God will never us forsake; And soon we'll have this talk to tell-All is well! All is well!
We'll find the place which God for us prepared, Far away in the West, Where none shall come to hurt or make afraid; There the Saints will be blesses. We'll make the air with music ring, Shout praises to our God and King; Above the rest these words we'll tell-All is well! All is well!
And should we die before our journey's through, Happy day! All is well! We then are free from toil and sorrow, too; With the just we shall dwell! But if our lives are spared again To see the Saints their rest obtain, Oh, how we'll make this chorus swell-All is well! All is well! {Our version ended with} Praise the Lord, All Is well!

Isn't that song so true??? All is well!
I'm so grateful for this opportunity! :)
Until next time folks!
Peace & Blessings! :)

HARRY POTTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Oh. My. Goodness! I cannot even begin to tell you how much I loved this movie, it's pretty ridiculous! :) I think that It is my favorite by far! :)
I will tell you the adventures of my day. :)
So. Me, Sandee, and her friend Heather had bought tickets to go see the last Harry Potter at the Tinseltown by my house. They do it there that you by the tickets, and then on the morning of the premiere you go to the theater and get a wristband that tells you what number you are. And that number tells you when you can go in the theater. :) To my utter dismay, I had an orthodontist appointment that morning at 8:15. And the doors open at 9 to get the wrist bands. So, I arranged with Sandee that she would go wait in line while I was at the ortho, and I would meet here there so that she could go to work. After my ortho appointment I called Sandee to find out where she was standing. So I walked up to her, and right when I stopped I noticed that I had missed a phone call from my friend that worked at the theater. I was like, what the? Right when I went to call her back, she texted me and said "I just saw you, what theater are you in?" So I texted back and said that I was in house 17. She said "Awesome, you're in my line. I'll set some earlier numbers aside for you." :) How Freakin Awesome is THAT??? I think it's pretty awesome. ;) I was a little worried that she would get in trouble. I asked her if she would and she said. nah, I can do it for a few people. So there were probably about 50 people standing in line in front of me, and i left with wristbands number 23-25. AH! :) So exciting.
So I had to work from 4:30 to 8:30 that night. Which didn't really matter seeing as we couldn't even start lining up until 9:45. So I Picked up some wendy's on the way home. and ate while my sister and her friend talked. :)
So we get to the theater and there really aren't that many people in our line, which I am totally okay with. We were taking pictures of us in line and this really nice girl offered to take one for us. But then people started coming and it really started getting annoying. Apparently people don't know what "personal bubbles' are. but they sure now how to invade them. So the lady comes out and tells us that the first like 50 and come in. And people are like shoving! I was on the verge of turning around and being like "would you like to go in front of me, because it honestly doesn't make a difference, you'll still get to see the movie. So as we're walking to the door, the nice girl asked us what our numbers were, and she said oh I'm 30 you can get in front of me. :) Ah. But i overheard her ask the girls that were shoving, and they said 40 and she said "well i'm in front of you." :) Haha.
So we get in there and we actually get amazing seats! :) and this is where the way annoying part happened. These guys sitting behind us kept saying. "Boom boom boom everybody say Way-Hoh". UH! And then all of the people in front of us start singing that "Boom Chicka Boom song." And then it like turned into this competition. lame... But then something HILARIOUS happened! :) after they had all settled down, this girl stood up and did that "Old Testament version". And she's like screaming I sayeth unto you a Boometh Chicka Boometh! And then at the end she said I Sayeth a boometh chicka boometh, and let my people go!!!" and this kid in the front of the theater stood up, turned around, pointed his wand at her and said "AVADA KADAVRA!" And everyone cheered. It was awesome!

As weird as this may sound, it's been like, less than 48 hours since i've seen the movie, and I really wanna see it again.... haha. :)

Well, until next time folks.
Peace & Blessings. :)

{Dark Side of the Moon}

We all love some pink floyd Right??? :) Nah, This is in reference to the 3rd Transformers movie. :)
On July 13, I went with my family to go tee this movie for Bradon's Birthday.
:) It was super awesome! I actually really enjoyed it. I hadn't even seen the second one and I was still on the edge of my seat most of the time. I think that it was very well done. And to be quite honest with you, I like the Victoria's Secrets model better than Megan Fox. Now, This may be crazy. But I think Megan Fox just looks ornery all the time. So.. maybe that's why i liked this girl as the actress better.... I don't even know. :)

I guess I'll tell you what I got Bradon, and then update you on something else before I close.
Usually my sister Sandee wins the best present award, like, always. But this year. I think I may have stole that thunder. But.... she did help me with ideas. so.. yeah. :)
I got bradon this.
Seasons 1&2 of Saved by the Bell.
Seasons 3&4 of Saved by the Bell.
And these amazing Gnomeo and Juliet bobble heads. :)
Hahaha. They are so awesome huh! :)

I think that it was a great day. I love spending time with my family. :)

{Side Note} on Saturday, Bradon took me to Salt Lake to get me the rest of my birthday present. and Here ya go. This is them. :)
They are beautiful huh?? I love em! :)

That's all for now folks. :)
Peace & Blessings. :)

{Sing} Sing a Song...

So. As you know. I am in the choir at Institute. I have to memorize 4 songs. . . Eeek! That is genuinely insane! And to top it all off, I not only have to memorize them, but I have to pass them off to my section leader.... We'll see how that goes... So far, it's not to bad. But I'm a little worried. Especially about "Faith in Every Footstep." I'll just have to practice a little more. :)
Anyway. That was a random blabbing time. :)
Until Next Time...
Peace & Blessings. :)

7th Quote of the Rainy Days... :)

"Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game." :)
I was just reading over most of my quotes. (I've been a slacker and haven't been doing this at all lately :\) This one just stuck out to me. I think that it is an incredible life lesson! Don't not (Do you like that double negative???} do something because you are afraid that you will fail. It is ridiculous! It also reminds me of a quote that I found when i was writing a research paper for a leadership class that says "When you are trying new things you are bound to fail at least some of the time, and I say that's okay." Doing new things is hard. That is why we are supposed to try new things. It makes us grow! And if we find out that it's not for us... then at least we tried. We won't have to go our whole life wondering if you could have made it.

Anyway, food for thought. :)
Until Next Time...
Peace & Blessings! :)

{Things I'm excited for}

There are many things in my life that make me excited. BUT! Guess what my two excitements for this month are... just guess. :) Can't??? Okay. I will tell you!!!

Numero Uno!
HARRY POTTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am for Harry Potter. It is ridiculous! :)
And guess what? This is also going to be the first Midnight showing of a movie that I have ever gone to! Epic huh?? I'm going to the midnight showing with my sister Sandee and her best friend Heather. (Who, I am naturally friends with because her favorite color is purple. :) ) Sandee and I went to FunDaze to pick out some fun stuff to wear there. Our goal was to find some like dark mark tattoo's or something. But... none of that. SO.. :) I convinced Sandee to buy us these Harry Potter Cups and Harry Potter Glasses. AND! I got a Harry Potter Wand! :) WOO!!! Needless to say! I can't wait! :)

Numero Dos!
CAMPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My family is going camping the last week of July and I am Stoked! It has felt so weird because we haven't gone yet this year. But that darn snow hasn't melted until now.! I can't wait to have smores, and banana boats and dutch oven cooking! Ah! I just can't wait. I'm hoping we're going to Smith & Morehouse. But..... I'd be good with anything! :)

So there are my excitements for the week! :)

Until Next Time
Peace & Blessings! :)

{Heidee's Weekly Book Report}

The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who can't read them. ~Mark Twain
So, I've decided that I want to read a lot more often than I do. So I thought that I would tell you once a week about how my books are. Fun idea, huh?? Yeah. I figure that way it will give me a little more motivation to not only start them, but to finish them. :)

So, to start this off, I am currently reading The Diary of Anne Frank. I kind of have this strange obsession with reading and watching stories from WWII. I don't know if that is weird or not. But if it is, I will accept that. Now. I really enjoy this book. But at the same time, I do get bored of it quickly when I'm reading it. I guess that I expected it to be a lot more of what was actually going on, than her complaining about how Peter doesn't like her, but she likes him. hahaha. But there are some wonderful insights in there.
This may sound bad, but I can't wait 'til I finish it. Because then I can read other awesome books! :)

Anyway, Until Next time
Peace & Blessings! :)

(p.s. I kinda copy my sister on the ending of my posts. She always says until next time... and she had this picture on her blog too. But I thought that it was adorable, So i copied it! :))

{Peace & Blessings}

So.. I just realized that at the end of every post I write "Peace & Blessings" and you probably have no idea why. Hahah. Well. I will tell you why. It all began when I used to just say "Peace" when I left the room of was leaving hanging out with someone. Then one day I was told to go see this video.... :)

Now you understand. :)

Until Next Time..
Peace & Blessings!
:)

08 July 2011

{19}

"One year older, and wiser {???} too. Happy Birthday, to you!"
Yup. In case you haven't guessed it, I had my birthday recently. :) Guess what? I'm 19!! How weird does that sound??? I think it is the weirdest sounding thing that has ever come out of my mouth! Haha, crazy! Okay, so my birthday was kind of split into two different days. Why? You might ask. Well, I will tell you why. My birthday is July 6th. With as you all know is 2 days after the 4th of July. :) We were already having people come over on the 4th, and I had institute on my birthday that I couldn't skip. So it was decided that we would have my dinner and 'cake' on the 4th when everyone was here. It was awesome! I love being able to pick out my dinner. :) So, for dinner I had Pork Tenderloin and Cheesy Potatoes! :) YES!!! And for dessert we had mud pie. Which, I absolutely love! :) Here is what it is, basically. Crushed up oreos as the crust, sweetened condensed milk on top. And then top it all off with vanilla ice cream! LOVE! :)
So I guess that I will tell you what I got that day, and then what I got on my actual birthday! :)

From Jeff and Denese I got.... MONEY! :) I love money!

From my parents I got...
these AWESOME Pumas! :) Ah! I love them, they are so freakin' comfortable!
I also got a white cami from DownEast! Which is great. I really needed one! :)

From Sandee, I got...
An awesome Ulta Make-Up brush!

Mac 'Ocean Dip' Nail Polish!
Mac 'Surf USA' eyeshadow!
and this really, really cool zipper ring! It's awesome! :)

Bradon gave me...
this really awesome Octopus ring!
...now. he didn't actually give me these, but he says he is going to buy me a pair of shoes, and I'm really hoping that it is these Toms! So cute huh??

So... That is what I got on the 4th. Now it is time for you to hear about my adventures on my ACUTAL birthday! It was on a Wednesday, and everyone in my family works during the day. So I took my awesome friend Melissa swimming at the Loves pool! :) It was so super fun! :) We had an awesome playlist. We talked a TON, and then we went out and laid on the deck, which was in a sense a mistake, because... yeah.. We got sunburnt. It was awesome! {Sarcasm}.
After swimming, we went and got pizza, and then came to my house and ate while we watched a few episodes of Get Smart. (Which is hilarious). :) After we got into this super deep conversation that gave my super big brain pains. Ha. I should try to stop thinking. It isn't a good thing for me. :) So then she left, and I had to teach 1 piano student, which I am totally okay with. :)
This is what I looked like that day.
Not my cutest look on my birthday, but considering the heat & humidity & swimming hair, this was the best that I could do. :)

Anyway, so after teaching. My family came home. And we went out to eat at Granny Annies! LOVE! :) I had Chicken Fried Steak which was incredible! Of course, my mom told all the people there that it was my birthday. And guess what they gave me? this HUGE cinnamon roll! It was AWESOME! :) Anyway, so then it took forever for them to bring us the check, so I was a little late to institute. But that is okay. :) When I came home, I had more presents for me. Crazy, huh??

from my sister and brother-in-law, Kadee & Jim, I got the 7th season of 7th Heaven! :) WOOOOOOOO! :)
I also got more presents from my mom & Dad. :)
These awesome Jeans! :)
This white T-shirt, to go on under....
This awesome blue shirt! It has awesome detail on it, that is kinda hard to see in this picture.
I also got this shirt! I wish it looked this good on me. But I still like it! :)

I also got this book, Which I am super excited to read. Sad that I have lots of other things to read.
I got a $20 gift card to Barnes & Noble! Woot! :)

Underwear are always good to have. ;)

Look at how cute this frame is! It's the NYC Skyline, BUT it is made out of all of the cities/burrows in the city. I love it! :)
Look at how cute this notebook is! Ah. I really needed it too!

This is what I got from work, which is funny, because I'm supposed to get a huge fritter from the doughnut place that's next to work. But this is 'better' uh huh. Sure. ;)

My Birthday was an AWESOME day, and I am so grateful for all the people and things I have in life!
Hope this wasn't too long and tedious!
Until Next time,

Peace & Blessings
:)
