7th Quote of the Rainy Days... :)

"Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game." :)
I was just reading over most of my quotes. (I've been a slacker and haven't been doing this at all lately :\) This one just stuck out to me. I think that it is an incredible life lesson! Don't not (Do you like that double negative???} do something because you are afraid that you will fail. It is ridiculous! It also reminds me of a quote that I found when i was writing a research paper for a leadership class that says "When you are trying new things you are bound to fail at least some of the time, and I say that's okay." Doing new things is hard. That is why we are supposed to try new things. It makes us grow! And if we find out that it's not for us... then at least we tried. We won't have to go our whole life wondering if you could have made it.

Anyway, food for thought. :)
Until Next Time...
Peace & Blessings! :)

{Things I'm excited for}

There are many things in my life that make me excited. BUT! Guess what my two excitements for this month are... just guess. :) Can't??? Okay. I will tell you!!!

Numero Uno!
HARRY POTTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am for Harry Potter. It is ridiculous! :)
And guess what? This is also going to be the first Midnight showing of a movie that I have ever gone to! Epic huh?? I'm going to the midnight showing with my sister Sandee and her best friend Heather. (Who, I am naturally friends with because her favorite color is purple. :) ) Sandee and I went to FunDaze to pick out some fun stuff to wear there. Our goal was to find some like dark mark tattoo's or something. But... none of that. SO.. :) I convinced Sandee to buy us these Harry Potter Cups and Harry Potter Glasses. AND! I got a Harry Potter Wand! :) WOO!!! Needless to say! I can't wait! :)

Numero Dos!
CAMPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My family is going camping the last week of July and I am Stoked! It has felt so weird because we haven't gone yet this year. But that darn snow hasn't melted until now.! I can't wait to have smores, and banana boats and dutch oven cooking! Ah! I just can't wait. I'm hoping we're going to Smith & Morehouse. But..... I'd be good with anything! :)

So there are my excitements for the week! :)

Until Next Time
Peace & Blessings! :)

{Heidee's Weekly Book Report}

The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who can't read them. ~Mark Twain
So, I've decided that I want to read a lot more often than I do. So I thought that I would tell you once a week about how my books are. Fun idea, huh?? Yeah. I figure that way it will give me a little more motivation to not only start them, but to finish them. :)

So, to start this off, I am currently reading The Diary of Anne Frank. I kind of have this strange obsession with reading and watching stories from WWII. I don't know if that is weird or not. But if it is, I will accept that. Now. I really enjoy this book. But at the same time, I do get bored of it quickly when I'm reading it. I guess that I expected it to be a lot more of what was actually going on, than her complaining about how Peter doesn't like her, but she likes him. hahaha. But there are some wonderful insights in there.
This may sound bad, but I can't wait 'til I finish it. Because then I can read other awesome books! :)

Anyway, Until Next time
Peace & Blessings! :)

(p.s. I kinda copy my sister on the ending of my posts. She always says until next time... and she had this picture on her blog too. But I thought that it was adorable, So i copied it! :))

{Peace & Blessings}

So.. I just realized that at the end of every post I write "Peace & Blessings" and you probably have no idea why. Hahah. Well. I will tell you why. It all began when I used to just say "Peace" when I left the room of was leaving hanging out with someone. Then one day I was told to go see this video.... :)

Now you understand. :)

Until Next Time..
Peace & Blessings!

{19}

"One year older, and wiser {???} too. Happy Birthday, to you!"
Yup. In case you haven't guessed it, I had my birthday recently. :) Guess what? I'm 19!! How weird does that sound??? I think it is the weirdest sounding thing that has ever come out of my mouth! Haha, crazy! Okay, so my birthday was kind of split into two different days. Why? You might ask. Well, I will tell you why. My birthday is July 6th. With as you all know is 2 days after the 4th of July. :) We were already having people come over on the 4th, and I had institute on my birthday that I couldn't skip. So it was decided that we would have my dinner and 'cake' on the 4th when everyone was here. It was awesome! I love being able to pick out my dinner. :) So, for dinner I had Pork Tenderloin and Cheesy Potatoes! :) YES!!! And for dessert we had mud pie. Which, I absolutely love! :) Here is what it is, basically. Crushed up oreos as the crust, sweetened condensed milk on top. And then top it all off with vanilla ice cream! LOVE! :)
So I guess that I will tell you what I got that day, and then what I got on my actual birthday! :)

From Jeff and Denese I got.... MONEY! :) I love money!

From my parents I got...
these AWESOME Pumas! :) Ah! I love them, they are so freakin' comfortable!
I also got a white cami from DownEast! Which is great. I really needed one! :)

From Sandee, I got...
An awesome Ulta Make-Up brush!

Mac 'Ocean Dip' Nail Polish!
Mac 'Surf USA' eyeshadow!
and this really, really cool zipper ring! It's awesome! :)

Bradon gave me...
this really awesome Octopus ring!
...now. he didn't actually give me these, but he says he is going to buy me a pair of shoes, and I'm really hoping that it is these Toms! So cute huh??

So... That is what I got on the 4th. Now it is time for you to hear about my adventures on my ACUTAL birthday! It was on a Wednesday, and everyone in my family works during the day. So I took my awesome friend Melissa swimming at the Loves pool! :) It was so super fun! :) We had an awesome playlist. We talked a TON, and then we went out and laid on the deck, which was in a sense a mistake, because... yeah.. We got sunburnt. It was awesome! {Sarcasm}.
After swimming, we went and got pizza, and then came to my house and ate while we watched a few episodes of Get Smart. (Which is hilarious). :) After we got into this super deep conversation that gave my super big brain pains. Ha. I should try to stop thinking. It isn't a good thing for me. :) So then she left, and I had to teach 1 piano student, which I am totally okay with. :)
This is what I looked like that day.
Not my cutest look on my birthday, but considering the heat & humidity & swimming hair, this was the best that I could do. :)

Anyway, so after teaching. My family came home. And we went out to eat at Granny Annies! LOVE! :) I had Chicken Fried Steak which was incredible! Of course, my mom told all the people there that it was my birthday. And guess what they gave me? this HUGE cinnamon roll! It was AWESOME! :) Anyway, so then it took forever for them to bring us the check, so I was a little late to institute. But that is okay. :) When I came home, I had more presents for me. Crazy, huh??

from my sister and brother-in-law, Kadee & Jim, I got the 7th season of 7th Heaven! :) WOOOOOOOO! :)
I also got more presents from my mom & Dad. :)
These awesome Jeans! :)
This white T-shirt, to go on under....
This awesome blue shirt! It has awesome detail on it, that is kinda hard to see in this picture.
I also got this shirt! I wish it looked this good on me. But I still like it! :)

I also got this book, Which I am super excited to read. Sad that I have lots of other things to read.
I got a $20 gift card to Barnes & Noble! Woot! :)

Underwear are always good to have. ;)

Look at how cute this frame is! It's the NYC Skyline, BUT it is made out of all of the cities/burrows in the city. I love it! :)
Look at how cute this notebook is! Ah. I really needed it too!

This is what I got from work, which is funny, because I'm supposed to get a huge fritter from the doughnut place that's next to work. But this is 'better' uh huh. Sure. ;)

My Birthday was an AWESOME day, and I am so grateful for all the people and things I have in life!
Hope this wasn't too long and tedious!
Until Next time,

Peace & Blessings
:)

{Independence Day} :)

"Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there."-{Star Spangled Banner}

The 4th of July has always been my favorite holiday. I'm not sure why. It just is. Maybe it's because my birthday is always 2 days after. ;) I'm not sure. I thought that I would tell you all about my wonderful 4th of July. It was on a Monday this year. Which, for some odd reason I like it that way. It's not like I work that day or something, so... I don't know why I like it, but I do. :) To start it off, I did my nails to match the 4th of July Holiday. :)
Pretty cute, huh??? Yeah. I thought so. :) I picked it out myself (Obviously)

So my day started out with... cleaning. Yup. lots of it! It's not my favorite thing in the world, but my mom loves things to be neat and tidy. So after a whole morning of cleaning, I finally had the opportunity to get ready. :) Yay! :) And then guess what we did???? Lunch at.... FIVE GUYS! :) Woo!!! :) :) I love five guys. After lunch we had time to clean and get ready for a BBQ at our house. :) My grandma and grandpa came, along with my aunt and uncle. It was awesome! :) We celebrated my birthday, but. I can give more details on that later. :)

Then the celebrations of the 4th began. One of my neighbors did fireworks for I swear 4 hours. and they weren't just the normal fireworks, they were the legit, pretty sure still illegal, fireworks. It was insane!

But, all in all, I enjoyed it. :) It was a great day! :)
Until next time
Peace & Blessings. :)

"Bond" Fire... :)

"You don't by chance have six fingers on your right hand?" "Do you always begin conversations this way?"-The Princess Bride
So, Yesterday my Singles Ward had what was called a "Bond Fire". I decided the other day that I should at least try to like this new ward. Because, I'm pretty sure that everyone from the old singles ward (Antelope Hills) hates it. hahaha. This is just and assumption, so it may not be true, but....it probably is... :)

Anyway, I decided that I would invite my friend Niki. She isn't in that ward. But I figured 'hey, I wanna do something with her anyway, and if it ends up being lame... we can leave and go do something else!' Brilliant, right?? :) So we go there, and we kinda just sit off to the side while we are waiting for my sister and her friend to come. So we are all by ourselves. But then guess what happened?? yes... the Elder Quorum President came over and talked to us. I'm sure he means well. But.... yeah. :) So he sits and talks to us, the entire time! Now. by now you may be asking, why The Princess Bride quote at the top? Well.. Because the "Do you always begin conversations this way?" would have work perfectly with him. Hahaha. He would just randomly say, "Okay, Heidee trivia time, what is Heidee's favorite color?" And then whoever was closest won?? it was super weird! But there were some funny things that did happen while he was there. During the 'Sandee Trivia Time' the question was, "When was the last time that Sandee Climbed a Tree?" and I was like "NEVER, she only has one hand." and he said.... HAHAHAH "are you serious?" and we like "You didn't notice???" and he said "No! I meant like you've never climbed a tree!" Hahaha. And then, this is the best part. He like kept going back and getting more food! I think he ate at least 4 hot dogs and 2 hamburgers. And at one point he said. "My manhood is telling me that I have to eat all of this now." so he was trying to eat everything the whole time. And then finally he said "Would you think less of me if I don't finish this?" and me and niki said in unison, "yes!" hahaha. It was great.

So we finally decided that it was time to go. :) So we went and got frozen yogurt, and then started watching Supernatural. It was super fun! :)

That's my events of the day!
Until my next adventure!
Peace & Blessings!
:)
