I Blame My Sister(s).... {Nail Polish}

So, as of lately, my sister Sandee has been totally addicted to nail polish. And since she can't exactly paint her own nails. I have kinda got 'sucked into' painting mine too. I used to paint my nails a lot as a kid. But.. once I started playing the piano and violin, I stopped taking the time, because it would bug me when they were long. Although I wouldn't like to admit this, I am going to. I actually kinda like having all of this nail polish. Maybe it's because I find the color titles hilarious. Or maybe it's because I agree with Sandee when I say that they look nice when they are painted. Either way, I'm stuck. Doesn't it seem like nail polish didn't have cool names up until now? I have all this old nail polish that is just numbers for their colors. LAME! Well. I guess that I will now show you what NEW one I Have got. Key Word in this sentence is New. These are the ones that Sandee has bought me in the past few months. {Don't worry. It makes me a little sick too.}

Summer Goals {2011}

I stole the idea of having summer goals from one of my friends. I think that it is ingenious! This way they are more short term and possible to accomplish! How amazing right? So I have decided that I am going to make a Summer Goals list. Here they are :)

1-Clean Out Closet {It needs some help}

2-Learn Last 2 Pages of Deux Arabesque {My piano teacher has taught me to start from the back}

3-Read (At least) 3 Books. {Diary of Anne Frank, These is my Words, The Host}

4-Knit 2 Pairs of Slippers

5-Work On Christmas Presents

6-Apply to (At least) 4 Jobs

7-Apply for overdraft on Debit Card

8-Deep Clean Car {Then she will be a beaut Inside and out!}

9- Clean out under my bed {it tends to store unneeded Items}

10-Learn a New song on the violin. {I need to keep that talent going. }

11-Find & maintain a Diet and Exercise plan

12-Take Lilo on a walk, Daily.

13-Come up with a Money Management plan. {I need to stop spending!}

14-Do 5 New Scrapbook pages

15-Finish all unfinished pages.

My Life {As of Today}

Welp. It has been one crazy week!

{At Work} I technically have the week off. Because of recitals, I don't have to work. Since they students are all at their recitals, they can't exactly be at the lab needing my help, huh? Well. My Supervisor, Mr. Gardiner, asked me if I would sub the piano teams and piano prep classes this week. I said absolutley, seeing that I'd be making 10 dollars an hour, vs 7.25. AND it'd be eight hours. That's more money then I usually would get in a week, and its three less hours than I usually work. Total bonus. The Week started out very rough. My first class was quite the handful... but I guess everyone has those days, right? well, here's the thing. Regardless of if they happen every once in a while. It still, totally, sucks. Hahha. The week has continually got better, so that's a good thing. Then last night we had this big meeting of all the changes that are happening. Most of which are to the contract. The funny things is, that regardless of if I have a contract (Which I Don't) It still was pretty nerve wracking. But I also feel that this is one of the first times that I felt that I have seen eye to eye with the owner of my company. So, who knows. Maybe the changes are a good thing after all. :)

{House Sitting} One of my Professors, Dr. Tadehara asked me to house sit for her while her and her two kids went to Seattle. Number 1-major jealousy. :) I LOVE seattle! hahaha. Number 2- I think it is totally cool that she trusts me enough to ask me to watch her house while she is gone. So far it has been awesome. There is food for me to eat, and a really nice entertainment system. The only downside is the cat. I generally hate cats. But, wanna know something weird?? I think I'm actually starting to like this cat (Shhhh. Don't tell anyone) The only thing that I don't like about him, is that he kinda depresses me. hahaha. He is so sad that his family is gone, and he'll just stare at the door like he's waiting or them to come home. :( Sad fricken day. BUT. Plus side is that I think he is actually liking me by the second night of staying there. Today he kept walking over to me to pet him, and he'd purr when I did. :) That did make me a little happy. I've come to the conclusion that (Unlike my dog who sleeps all day and all night) this cat sleeps all day and parties all night. ha. ha ha. He likes to try and keep me awake I think. But that's okay I guess. I may as well get used to the no sleeping that occurs during the school year, now. ;)

{My House} Well, to make a longer story longer, I will tell you. I don't know if you have ever seen &/or owned a swamp cooler. But at the beginning of every summer, you need to go on your roof and fill the swamp cooler with water, yes? Okay. So we did this. And we had the swamp cooler on and it was wonderful! Until we noticed something...The roof of my parents bedroom was leaking water right onto their bed. Great. and if this weren't enough, the roof finally collapsed. Leaving the room in need of fixing. So for about 4 or 5 days now, we've had people cleaning the room, drying the walls, putting up sheetrock, painting, etc. Epic huh? One thing that I have decided through this process is that I think it's weird that a problem like this is covered by insurance, but no any other kind of floor. I.E. rain flooding your house=not covered. I still think it's bizarre. I can't get over that fact. haha

{Side Information} As most of you know (i think) I have decided to at least try out Social Work. There are many parts of it that I feel are just so me! The want to help people and to see them happy is this drive that I Have constantly. A while ago I asked my Social work Teacher that 'if I did end up doing Social Work, where would she put me' and instead of giving me an easy answer. She took me to the professional to see what he thought. Well. He asked me what population I feared the most, and I said little kids because I can't imagine what life would be like later on.. But today as I was watching tv, one of those commercials about the starving kids in Africa came on, and I almost instantly had this urge that I wanted to help them. So I don't know. Maybe I'll help little kids. But at the same time, I almost have this connection with the older population. So.. that just totally throws me out of wack. hahaha. I'm gonna be lost for a while, for sure. :)

People Think I'm Weird {Blessings}

This title is more than likely true. And to tell you the honest truth, I don't know why it's the title of this post. I just had the random urge to make it the title, so whelp, there it is! :) enjoy it! Now! ;)

I have decided that sometimes life throws you a bone. It makes everything fall into place, so that life isn't always a piece of crap! And, you know what I have decided? Well, I will tell you what I have decided. I have so many things in my life that are Truly a BLESSING! :) People and things! Oh man, I can't even begin to tell you what it's like to have things in your life that make it all better!

Ahem...

First of all I have many friends, but two namely, that deserve to be recognized!

Teah Garner!

Oh my Goodness! how I freaking love, wait, let me try that again, LOVE this girl! She is SUCH a blessing! She goes to Utah State, and so I don't get to see her that often. But you know what's awesome! is that she's awesome!!! There are some friends where when you don't get to talk that often, it's almost awkward talking when you do, because there is way too much to catch up on, and they have changed and so it's super hard to convey your message. But Teah Garner is not like that! Everytime I talk to her, it's as if I had talked to her yesterday. She may be a grown up now, but she is still my friend. And that is more than a girl like me could ask for! Teah is easily one of my best friends! You know how you have best friends that you love to be with, and then there are best friends that you love to be with, and they just get you as well? Teah its the latter. She is so fun to be around and she gets me! which makes it totally awesome and fun!

Melissa Nelson!

I know that I have blogged about her before,

but I Love Her! :) Oh my goodness! We have had one of those friendships that just...lasts. It doesn't matter if there is ever a time where we go our separate ways, because, somehow we always come back. She is so talented in photography! I wish I had that skill, but, since I don't. I guess that I'll have to live with it. :) She is Non-Judgemental, and she makes me laugh. So. Hard. Sometime I'll crack a joke, and people will get mad and/or surprised at what I said. And I'm like really? and then I'll tell Melissa about it and she'll said the same thing!HAhah I LOVE that we get each other. and that we are always here for each other. :) It's fabulous!

And guess what?? I spent Saturday night with them. and was it fabulous? yes, yes indeed!!! We have movie nights occasionally and it is so great to get together! Because we can all be weird, (Or, more like me and teah are weird and melissa laughs at us) but it ROCKS! I hope that we have many more movie nights to come, and I know that it will happen. :)

Second of all, Music is such a blessing, isn't it??

There is so much music out there, and I have yet to be able to listen to half of it! There are two bands in particular that I find myself always wanting to listen to, because their lyrics are so incredible!

First is The Rocket Summer:

One of my Recent Posts was about a song by the Rocket Summer. But all of his songs are just Incredible! This is a pretty new band, but the thing about it is that even though he's new, he actually has talent. You know how some of the newest bands may not particularly have talent, they just know what the crowds want? This guy, has got talent. In the albums, it is all Bryce Avary. He will record the drums, then play it over and record the bass, etc. Isn't that so cool? Ah! I love it!! :)

Second, Jack's Mannequin:

Oh man, I can't even begin to say how much I love this band. It almost gives me strength on the days that I need it! Ah! Some People don't know this, but the singer of Jack's Mannequin, Andrew McMahon, had cancer. And his album Everything in Transit was being recorded while he was battling cancer. He also wrote an album Dear Jack during this time, and I think that the songs from Dear Jack are just incredible! One of them is called Katie. And it's about how his Sister had given him a Bone Marrow Transplant(I think) and that it saved his life. And so because she did this, He could live. {How incredible, huh?}

Well, those are just 4 of the many things That I have found to be blessings in my life. :) Have you actually ever stopped to count your blessings? Or list your favorite scriptures? Actually gone back and read your favorite scriptures? Have you ever actually done something out of pure love to someone else? well, if you haven't, I hope that this post can be just one small start to pushing you in that direction. Because I can tell you from experience, that sitting in your room moping about how life hasn't gone that way you want it to, isn't nearly as fun as sitting in your room rejoicing in all the ways that it has.

What do people do when they are bored? Well, that question I have an answer too. After the usual checking facebook, email, and blogs, if most people are still at a loss of what to do. They will go to sights such as mylifeisaverage.com and youtube.com. Well.. yesterday for me, it was mylifeisaverage.com. After a few funny posts I came across a post talking about the iPod Shuffle Game. Now, do I have better things that I could have been doing with my life, yes. But, needless to say, this iPod Shuffle Game sounded a lot more entertaining. I have never done this before, and I did laugh many times. A question you might be asking is did you cheat at this game, yes, sort of. I did put down the song that came up, but I have done them 3 times so that I could get the best possible answer. And I have a lot of piano songs and conference talks/church music on my iPod, so I excluded all of that because those answers woulda been lame. haha. Ones that are just completely dumb and irrelevant, I won't be including. Because that would be even more torture to all of you. :) Another question you are asking is, well, why don't you tell me them? Well, that Is exactly what I am doing to do. Here we go. :) The biggest waste of time, I know! But I blame that Darn Internet.
